Pokémon TCG Oceania International Championships Prizes

Players at the 2018 Pokémon TCG Oceania International Championships will be competing for Championship Points and prizes. The final Championship Point payout is determined by the number of players per age division. All participants will receive 5 Play! Points and a Pokémon International Championships promo card (while supplies last), just for playing!

2018 Pokémon TCG Oceania International Championships Prize Information

Prizes are awarded to the top players in each of three age divisions. Players must have a Pokémon Trainer Club account with a Player ID attached, and must have opted in to the Play! Pokémon program to earn points and awards.

For the Pokémon TCG and Video Game International Championships, the format of each prize is dependent on the age of the recipient. Here are the International Championships prizes for the 2018 Play! Pokémon Championship Series season.

18 years of age and older:

  • Awards of $5,000 or more: Choice of scholarship or cash
  • Awards under $5,000: Cash

Under 18 years of age:

  • Awards of $5,000 or more: Choice of scholarship or Pokémon Visa® prepaid card
  • Awards under $5,000: Pokémon Visa® prepaid card

Pokkén Championship Series Qualifier Prizes

The Pokkén Tournament DX competition at the Pokémon Oceania International Championships will act as a Qualifier to the Pokkén Tournament World Championships to be held in Nashville, TN, later in the year.

This year, there will be two age divisions for all Pokkén competitors. The Masters Division is for competitors born in 2002 or earlier and the Senior Division is for competitors born in 2003 or later.

Prizes

Masters Division

  • 1st place: $1,250 and Worlds invitation
  • 2nd place: $1,000 and Worlds invitation
  • 3rd place: $750
  • 4th place: $600
  • 5th place tie: $450 each
  • 7th place tie: $250 each

Senior Division

  • 1st place: Nintendo Switch console and Worlds invitation
  • 2nd place: Nintendo Switch Pro Controller
